7 Sea World

SeaWorld Orlando is the world’s largest marine-themed park, offering exhibits and live shows featuring dozens of species, from dolphins and manatees to the park’s signature “Shamu” orcas (more popularly known as killer whales).Sea World’s got plenty of non-animal attractions, too, including the roller coasters Kraken and Manta, which won the Theme Park Insider Award for the nation’s best new attraction when it debuted in 2009.


8 Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens Tampa opened in 1959 as an animal exhibit and gardens adjacent to Anheuser Busch’s Tampa Brewery. It was later developed into a full theme park called Busch Gardens. The Park is comprised of nine themed areas including Morocco, Bird Gardens, Stanleyville, Congo, Jungala, Timbuktu, Nairobi, Crown Colony Plaza, and Egypt. It is meticulously well-maintained and features several major roller coasters, expansive animal exhibits, themed shops, and above average theme park dining.


9 Kennedy Space Center

You don’t have to be a space junkie to enjoy NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the only spot in the United States from which humans have been hurled into space. The plethora of hands-on exhibits, IMAX movies, and sheer magnitude of the shuttles will surely impress the most passive fan. One of the highlights is the Shuttle Launch Simulator, where budding astronauts are strapped into a cockpit and given a high-fidelity ride, which creates the impression of an actual lift-off.


10 LegoLand

LEGOLAND® Florida, Central Florida’s newest theme park, is a 150-acre, full two-day interactive family theme park specifically designed for families with children ages 2 to 12. The largest LEGOLAND Park in the world, it features more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, restaurants, shopping, a breathtaking botanical garden and the all-new LEGOLAND Water Park.
